The authors will compare shifts in instructional paradigms in the instruction of English as a foreign language in Mexican universities. They will also engage the audience in critical thinking and language applications using literary texts, engaging questioning techniques, and collaborative strategies exemplifying practices now encourage in the Mexican educational reform.

Isabel Escalona is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Speak Inn. She is an Innovative Education specialist in Mexico city. She has been researching new educational models for Elementary schools.

Enrique Chombo Sanchez

Enrique Chombo-Sanchez, M.Ed. is presently a professor at Escuela Normal Superior de Mexico contributing to educate future English teachers. He has 36 years of experience in educational field in Mexico.
